It's like magic! And it all starts with that glorious mud – the messy, squishy, and endlessly malleable stuff that holds all the potential in the world.

Hi, I’m Kelley Eady

…a creative soul who began my career in photography before transitioning into digital design.

I’ve always been drawn to all things Japanese—their architecture, textiles, food and particularly their ceramics, which have captivated me with their wabi-sabi beauty and tactile, imperfect textures. This timeless art form has deeply inspired my work and often finds its way into many of my creative projects.

I have recently moved to Mangawhai, where I have a small studio. I'm excited to keep honing my craft and look forward to creating beautiful, meaningful pieces for many years to come.

Creating something out of mud is like having a delightful muddy playtime! It's a magical experience where the mud squishes between your fingers, as you shape it into a glorious form. You become a sculptor of muddy dreams, enjoying the playful dance with the mud as it cooperates and surprises you along the way.

When the final form is achieved, and the piece is ready to be fired and transformed into a permanent ceramic object, there is a deep sense of accomplishment and pride.

Holding the finished piece in your hands, you can marvel at its journey, from shapeless mud to a glorious, functional work of art.
